Introduction
Canada Express Entry Explained: For many skilled workers who dream of building a life in Canada, Express Entry can look confusing at first.
There are different immigration programs, language tests, education assessments, work-experience requirements and something called a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Then there are Invitation to Apply rounds, provincial nominations and category-based draws.
It is easy to look at all of this and wonder: Where do I even begin?
But the good thing is that Express Entry becomes much easier to understand once you see how the pieces fit together.
It is not a visa by itself. It is Canada’s online system for managing applications from skilled immigrants who want to become permanent residents.
This guide breaks down how the system works, who may qualify, how the ranking system works and what happens after you receive an invitation.
