How the Process Works
Step 1 – Determine Whether You’re Eligible
Before creating a profile, review the eligibility requirements for the relevant immigration program.
Step 2 – Prepare Your Documents
Gather the required documents before you begin your application.
Step 3 – Create Your Express Entry Profile
Provide accurate information about your education, work history, language results, and other qualifications.
Step 4 – Enter the Candidate Pool
Eligible candidates are placed into the Express Entry pool and assigned a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
Step 5 – Wait for Invitations
The Canadian government periodically invites eligible candidates with competitive scores to apply for permanent residence.
Step 6 – Submit Your Application
If you receive an invitation, you’ll need to complete your application within the required timeframe and provide supporting documents.
