And that is to say you don’t have to wait until after you arrive.
2. Find out when your coverage starts.
There may be circumstances where you are not covered immediately.
3. Understand what’s excluded.
Pay particular attention to prescriptions, dental, vision and other services.
4. Keep your insurance documents accessible.
Save your digital copies and keep the important details somewhere you can easily find them.
5. Check your province’s rules.
Healthcare eligibility is not identical across Canada.
