Should You Apply Everywhere?

This might be the biggest lesson here.
Imagine that you spend three hours applying for 40 jobs you barely qualify for.
Compare that with spending the same three hours finding 8–10 positions that actually match your skills, experience, location and work authorization.
I would take the second approach.
So, Before clicking Apply, ask yourself:
* Do I meet the basic requirements?
* Is the location realistic for me?
* Does my experience match the job?
* Am I legally eligible to work in Canada?
* Is the employer legitimate?
If you are applying from outside Canada, that last two questions become particularly important.
A Canadian job advertisement doesn’t automatically mean the employer will sponsor a foreign applicant or that you qualify for a work permit.
