5. Giving a vague purpose of travel
“I want to visit Canada” is not particularly informative.
* Why are you going?
* How long do you intend to stay?
* Where will you stay?
* What do you plan to do?
* Who will pay for the trip?
A clear and reasonable itinerary can help the officer understand the purpose of your visit.
You do not need to create an unnecessarily complicated travel plan. Just make your purpose clear.
6. Relying too heavily on an invitation letter
Do you have a friend or relative in Canada?
An invitation letter can provide useful context, but it does not automatically guarantee visa approval.
The person inviting you doesn’t make the decision for the immigration officer.
You still need to demonstrate that you meet the visitor visa requirements and intend to leave Canada at the end of your stay.
