2: If You Don’t Have a Bank Statement, Don’t Invent One
This is extremely important.
Do not borrow money and suddenly move a huge amount into an account simply to make your bank balance look impressive.
Do not submit altered statements.
And never provide false information about your income or finances.
Trying to create a “perfect” financial picture can raise more questions than your real situation.
So instead of, focus on presenting your circumstances honestly.
Depending on your situation, relevant evidence may include:
* Employment information
* Evidence of regular income
* Business documents, if you own or operate a business
* Proof of other legitimate financial resources
* Information showing who will genuinely pay for the trip, if you are not paying for it yourself
The U.S. Department of State notes that if you cannot cover all the costs of your trip, you may be able to show evidence that another person will cover some or all of the costs. �
