What About the Study Permit?
This is important.
A scholarship is not the same thing as a study permit.
If you’re accepted to study in Canada, you will still need to follow Canada’s study-permit requirements.
Generally, you’ll need a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from a designated learning institution. In most cases, you will also need a provincial or territorial attestation letter, although there are exceptions for example, some master’s and doctoral students at public institutions.
So think of the journey as:
Find the program → Find scholarships → Apply for admission → Apply for scholarships → Receive funding/admission → Apply for your study permit.
The exact order can vary depending on the scholarship and school.
