Jobs for international students in Canada: How to landing one
1. First, make sure you are allowed to work
Before applying for anything, check your study permit and your eligibility.
Eligible international students can generally work up to 24 hours per WEEK off campus while classes are in session. During scheduled school breaks, eligible students can generally work unlimited hours.
You also generally need to have started your study program, meet the relevant study requirements and have a Social Insurance Number (SIN).
You should not assume that simply having a study permit automatically means you can work. Check your specific conditions.
