Understand the immigration process.
And be extremely cautious about anyone demanding large recruitment payments or promising guaranteed visa approval.
For H-2A workers specifically, the Department of Labor states that employers cannot require workers to pay employer costs associated with obtaining the labor certification, including certain attorney, application and recruitment costs.
