6. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) supports international students and doctoral candidates, particularly those from non-EU countries.
Students in master’s or postgraduate programmes can receive €992 per month, while PhD candidates can receive €1,400 per month.
Additional allowances may also be available for health insurance, children and family circumstances.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellent academic performance, social or political involvement and good German-language skills.
7. Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Scholarship
The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation also offers scholarships to international students and doctoral candidates studying in Germany.
The programme is not simply about having excellent grades.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong academic performance and social or political engagement aligned with the foundation’s objectives.
For international applicants, German language ability at around B2 level is required, and the scholarship is primarily aimed at master’s and doctoral-level study rather than bachelor’s programmes.
