2. Don’t search for “WAEC scholarships” only
This is where many students make things unnecessarily difficult.
Canadian institutions don’t always advertise scholarships as “WAEC scholarships.”
Instead, look for scholarships available to:
1. International students
2. International first-year students
3. Undergraduate students
4. New students entering a program
5. Academic merit students
6. Students with strong grades
Your WAEC result can be part of your academic profile, but the scholarship itself may have a completely different name.
3. Start with the school, not the scholarship
This may sound backward, but it can save you a lot of time.
First make a list of Canadian colleges or universities that offer the program you want.
Then check:
Admission requirements → International student requirements → Tuition → Scholarships → Application deadlines
This will help you avoid spending hours chasing a scholarship at a school that doesn’t even offer your program or accept your qualification.
